Matthew Piper Hand Colored Gallery Preface

To make these artworks, I color/tint/paint my infrared photographs by hand.

I do not colorize them with the computer; rather, I use watercolor pencils with paper media and paints with canvas.

Therefore, each image is an original work, not a reproduction.

I have found infrared film, and its unique effects, an indispensable base in their creation. Accordingly, I can hand-color any image in the infrared gallery to whatever specifications you would like.
